2. After college, I worked as a mental health counselor for children at a residential treatment center in Boston The summer before starting my PhD, I spent several days biking through the Loire Valley in France

It included over 220 participants from 41 countries. Within the 2 years of the program, over 60% of the participants had experienced at least one promotion
  2. I’m energized by taking the risks required to create the conditions which challenge people to do things differently and generate learning that produces long-term results.

  1. I am a mosaic art and workshop junkie. Mosaics and life are all about how you bring the pieces together.
  2. I was once a product manager for object-oriented compilers and toolsets, and an expert in software engineering standards and practices.  I’m glad I’ve recovered.
  3. I played English Horn with the Denver symphony a couple of summers while I was studying music in college.
  4. I told Buddy Hackett a dirty joke in an elevator in London when I was 15.  My father wasn’t sure if he should be mortified or proud.
  5. Our  family owned a music store, which gave me an opportunity to play around with a lot of instruments.
  6. I now own a lavender bass guitar. I look forward to Kevin Spencer helping me learn how to play it.

What I love about Banding: I really liked hanging out in the bar with the band while in Barcelona when the gang was a key part of the global leadership program.  I really love the that using music as a language for effectively working together is accessible, safe and fun. At the same time, the process is  just uncomfortable enough to challenge people to develop new perspectives.

  1. Lead Operations for Sixthman, an event cruise company, where we put on vacations for bands and fans, at sea.
  2. Photography is a passion of mine. I work on the side with Songs For Kids Foundation, a charity that enriches lives of children suffering from illness and hardship. I provide photography for their events and for their time in the hospital.
  3. I was a training manager for Longhorn Steakhouse and helped train all of their managers that were hired. Fun fact: I trained their current Vice President!
  4. I co-founded a music and film website, It hasn’t been as active the past few years, but we still get to do event photo booths, which is always entertaining.

Things that might surprise you:

  1. I was in a boat accident when I was in 4th grade that has forever scared me away from getting in the ocean, which is ironic since I recently worked for 5 years on a cruise ship.
  2. My favorite place in the world is called Soggy Dollar Bar, on Jost Van Dyke, in the BVI
  3. My husband is a French chef. Our son is Walter Lowrider, a Chihuahua/Corgi mix
  4. I am a direct descendent of William Wallace. “They may take away our lives, but they’ll never take our FREEDOM!”
  5. I have a knack for interior design and love bright colors. My house looks like a rainbow inside and I love it!

  • I am a massive sports enthusiast and spend much of my free time watching them.
  • I am a boxer. (yes, for sport, and yes, I box against other humans). I love being active and playing games/sports of pretty much all sorts.
  • I was a finalist for the Green Bay Packers Fan Hall of Fame and am a proud shareholder of the team. The best day of my life was Superbowl XLV when I was live in person to watch the Packers win it all in Dallas.
  • Like our CEO Alan, I also won a countywide essay county contest in 3rd grade. While it is certainly odd, it makes sense since we are both avid writers.
  • I lived in Paris for 5 months during college and it feels like home.
  • I own 26 Clint Eastwood movies on DVD and watch his westerns often to decompress
  • I love spinning my collection of 78’s on my Victrola while drinking a nice bourbon with friends
  • I love surfing at sunrise on Waikiki Beach

What I love about Banding:
As a lifelong musician surrounded by music and having built my career around it, I’ve never taken for granted how it moves me. It’s tied to moments in and out of the workplace, which I’ve always been grateful for. Not everyone is able to experience the power of music in the workplace, so implementing our lasting methodology for everyone from engineers to salespeople is what I love most.

  1. Dave received both a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and an MBA by taking online classes from his van while on tour over a 4-year period
  2. Dave can fluently play the Guitar, Bass, Drums, Piano, and Sing. When writing songs, he often plays every instrument in the recording process.
  3. Being a life-long learner, Dave has already fulfilled many job positions in his 20’s that have had an interest to him. In the last 5 years, Dave has been a full time musician, a music teacher, a church worship director, a financial researching associate, a small-town business owner on Cape Cod, a real estate agent, an insurance agent, and (of course) a corporate trainer.
  4. Dave is an avid surfer and soccer player.

Danny MyrickFacilitator
Danny Myrick is an award winning songwriter and musician based in Nashville, Tn.  His career began as a kid singing and playing bass guitar in his family band for his Baptist preacher Father’s revival services.  He achieved his first #1 gospel song at the age of 17 before moving to Nashville from Pascagoula, Ms.  Over the past 20 years, Danny has fronted 90’s country band Western Flyer, sang background vocals on records for Montgomery Gentry, Blake Shelton and others and has had numerous cuts as a writer for artists as diverse as Craig Morgan, Big and Rich and Joe Cocker. Danny has had several hit songs including International Harvester by Craig Morgan, Truck Yeah by Tim McGraw and 2009’s most played country song, “She’s Country” by Jason Aldean.  He spends his time producing, writing, being an obsessive sports fan and enjoying time with his sons.  Click to hear music from Danny.

  1. I joined the ranks of history when I marched the Royal family through the Brandenburg Gate as a soldier/drummer in 1991, ending the Peace Keeping mission in Berlin.
  2. The first time I was lucky enough to be featured in Rolling Stone was in 1997 as a part of the Lilith Fair tour.
  3. I performed the roll of ‘Roger Davis’ in RENT for 550 performances from Sept 01-May 03 across the US.
  4. I had the pleasure and privilege of working for one of the worlds most important music producers; Daniel Lanois (U2, Peter Gabriel, Dylan…)

Things that might surprise you:

  1. I have never had a formal music education or vocal lesson.
  2. I’m a proud Canadian that married the most beautiful girl in the world.  
  3. I too struggle with self doubt on a daily basis. I accept it in the name of being better tomorrow.  
  4. Dogs complete me.

It’s my family, it’s my church.  Watching a doubter in the morning harness their potential as a communicator, collaborator and songwriter in the afternoon.   People are the greatest resource on the planet and we’re changing that culture one person at a time.

It’s an equally positive experience for everyone. I get to use my talent to bring the clients song to life, and at the same time I am sharpening my tools as a producer.
